It was back in September 2010 when we had been doing gymnastics and cheerleading for a few years and my sister and I were looking for a new challenge. We heard about a brand new Performing Arts Studio opening in Warrington and so we asked our parents to take us to the open day. That was the beginning of a new chapter in our lives.

As soon as we met the teachers we knew this was definitely for us and we signed up on the spot. We joined the Performing Arts Classes, Ballet, Jazz and Singing Lessons. We have learnt so much since joining, the classes are run be professional dance teachers and the choreography is amazing.

In November our teachers put us forward for an audition for a part in the production of Peter Pan at The Lowry Theatre, Manchester. What a fantastic opportunity. We were nervous to meet Tom Law who played Peter Pan but he made us feel really welcome. It was hard work juggling school work, rehearsals and performances but it was great fun. We got to work with professionals from the stage and TV and the experience was amazing. It gave us a real insight into what it’s like to work on a professional production and it is definitely something we would love to do more of in the future.

At the moment we are working on a production of Grease for our annual show at the end of the year and we are looking forward to future opportunities with Stagepro Academy. So watch this space!
